These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern participation in the Developing Leaders through Equity in Athletics for Girls (“DLEAG”) league. By registering, paying, or participating, you (“Participant” or “Parent/Guardian”) agree to the following:

1. Payment and Refund Policy

• All league fees must be paid in full prior to participation.
• A full refund may be requested up to seven (7) calendar days prior to the official start date of the league season.
• No refunds will be issued once the season has begun, regardless of participation status, injury, withdrawal, or other circumstances.
• Payments returned for insufficient funds or other reasons may result in suspension of participation until fees are settled.

2. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

• Participation in basketball and athletic activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage.
• By registering, the Participant and Parent/Guardian voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, DLEAG, its officers, directors, volunteers, coaches, and affiliates shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, or harm sustained during participation in league activities.
• Participants and Parent/Guardians agree to indemnify and hold harmless DLEAG from any claims, liabilities, or expenses arising from participation.
• In the event of a medical emergency, Parent/Guardian authorizes DLEAG staff or volunteers to seek emergency medical treatment for the Participant.

3. Player Substitution

• In the event a registered player sustains an injury preventing continued participation, the team may request a substitute player.
• Substitutions must be approved by the DLEAG Committee. Approval will be based on the skill level of the substitute to maintain competitive balance.
• No substitutions will be permitted without prior written or electronic approval from the Committee.

4. Scheduling and Venue Changes

• DLEAG utilizes school and community gymnasiums. On occasion, gyms may be unavailable due to school or community events beyond DLEAG’s control.
• DLEAG will make reasonable efforts to reschedule games or practices affected by such cancellations.
• Coaches may coordinate directly with their teams regarding alternative arrangements.
• However, reschedules cannot be guaranteed, and no refunds will be issued due to cancellations or conflicts.

5. Media Release

• Parent/Guardian grants permission to DLEAG to use the Participant’s image, voice, or likeness in photographs, video, or audio recordings for publicity, marketing, or social media purposes.
• Media may be used on DLEAG’s website, printed materials, and official accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter).
• Parent/Guardian understands no monetary compensation will be provided and waives any right of approval over use of such media.
• Creative permission is granted to DLEAG to edit media provided edits are not explicit or malicious.
• Parent/Guardian gives DLEAG permission to use, publish, and lightly edit any written or recorded feedback voluntarily provided about DLEAG for its website, social media, advertising, and other promotional materials. Any edits will not change the original meaning. The parent may request that the testimonial be anonymous.

6. Code of Conduct

• All participants, coaches, and spectators must conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner.
• DLEAG reserves the right to suspend or remove any player, coach, or spectator for conduct deemed inappropriate, unsportsmanlike, or harmful to the league environment.

7. Acceptance of Terms

By submitting payment, completing registration, or participating in league activities, the Participant and Parent/Guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
