Lauryn Czarina
Aloha mai kaikou! I'm Lauryn Czarina, also known as Coach Lala. I'm a Bay Area native with a lifelong love for basketball. I coach because I genuinely love the game, but more importantly, I see coaching as an opportunity to serve a purpose bigger than myself. My goal is to give back to my community, help young student athletes grow in confidence and character, and teach lessons through basketball that extend far beyond the court.
Coaching Philosophy
"Always empty the tank—give everything you have, every time you step on the court." I place a strong emphasis on defense, discipline, and hustle while helping student athletes build the confidence, character, and mindset they can carry with them both on and off the court.
Experience
I've played basketball throughout my life, including in Asian leagues and AAU during my youth, as well as intramural basketball at the university level. For the past four years, I've coached student athletes in grades 5–8.
