Champions: THE BEARS
In DLEAG’s inaugural volleyball season, the Bears emerged as the league’s first-ever champions, capping off an incredible journey to the top. Led by Coach Derick, the Bears faced their fair share of challenges throughout the season as they worked to find their footing and build chemistry on the court. As the season progressed, they found their rhythm and developed into one of the league’s most complete squads heading into the playoffs. The Bears saved their best volleyball for the postseason. Entering the playoffs as the No. 4 seed, they opened with a dominant victory over the No. 1-seeded Surge, a team that had defeated them twice during the regular season, before advancing to the championship to face the Cardinals, who earned their spot with an upset win over Pulse. The Bears once again delivered a commanding performance, leaning on their tough serving, relentless effort on the defensive end, and their balanced offense to capture the title of DLEAG’s first-ever champions.
